BACKGROUND CHECKS, INCLUDING FINGERPRINTING, FOR RE-LICENSURE BEGIN IN APRIL- In April 2008 all active, licensed dentists in New Jersey will receive a notice in the mail from the NJ State Board of Dentistry that outlines the process for fingerprinting and background checks. This process in now mandatory in New Jersey as a condition of licensure and re-licensure of all affected healthcare professionals. Extension on New Prescription Pad Requirements - The NJ Division of Consumer Affairs has extended May 23rd deadline for the sequential numbering and pre-printed NPI numbers on prescription pads to October 1, 2008. See list of approved printers.
