Dentists Authorized to Administer COVID-19 Vaccine at Vaccination Sites in NJ
By an Executive Directive effective immediately, the New Jersey Commissioner of Health authorized dentists and other health care providers to administer COVID-19 vaccines approved or authorized by the FDA at any vaccination site established within New Jersey. The vaccination site must provide designated training before permitting the health care providers to administer the vaccine and must assure that the vaccination skills and knowledge are kept up to date. Persons who administer the vaccine must comply with the requirement of the “New Jersey Interim COVID-19 Vaccination Plan”, as amended and supplemented. The authorization will remain in effect until such time as it is determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Health that an emergency no longer exists.
