The New Jersey Dental Association's long-standing tradition of sending the organization's top leaders on the road to visit each of the state's 12 local dental societies will continue in 2022-23. NJDA President Dr. Peter DeSciscio and President-Elect Dr. Rene Arace will begin the annual NJDA Leadership Tour on September 20 at the Mercer Dental Society.
"The Leadership Tour is such a valuable tradition,” said NJDA President Dr. Peter DeSciscio. "After doing the tour last year as President-Elect, I can honestly say that this is the highlight of being President."
Leadership Tour attendees can expect to hear the latest news on advocacy, political action, continuing education, member benefits and more. Each meeting also includes a ceremony to honor new ADA Life Members. The Leadership Tour gives every member the opportunity to have face-time with dentists who are working on their behalf.
The Leadership Tour presentation is certified for continuing education credit by the NJ State Board of Dentistry and two CEUs will be added to the MYADA CE Tracker of each attendee. Most meetings also include a cocktail hour and/or dinner. Check with your local dental society for specifics.
"Getting news, program updates, and CE is great," added Dr. DeSciscio. "But these meetings are all about bringing our dental community together, making connections, and strengthening our profession."
NJDA Executive Director Arthur Meisel is expected to attend the first six meetings which will all be held prior to his retirement at the end of 2022.
