Helping Members Succeed

The New Jersey Dental Association is the voice of the dental profession and a strong proponent of oral health in the state. Members are part of a vibrant community of dentists encompassing 12 local dental societies as well as the American Dental Association. Members engage in educational programs, have access to dentist-centric relationships and tools to navigate the business of dentistry and their careers, as well as benefit from dedicated advocacy that protects the interests of the profession. The organization is run by member-dentists with the support of a team of professionals at NJDA Headquarters. NJDA members never practice alone!

Course Description: THIS IS THE SECOND REQUIRED SESSION.

This course is designed to teach the participant, the process by which the emergency response system, chain of command and morgue operations are initiated in an MFI. This course will familiarize the attendee on Dental Identification procedures within the Morgue operations including, Antemortem record collection, Postmortem data collection, DVI nomenclature and software systems. Participants will have a hands-on Mock MFI incident in preparedness for the possibility of a real MFI.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand Morgue operations in an MFI
  • Understand the role of all the sections needed in morgue ops for DVI
  • Understand how to chart and review Antemortem records
  • Understand how to collect Postmortem evidence
  • Understand Nomenclature and equipment and software systems associated with a DVI team.
