Helping Members Succeed
The New Jersey Dental Association is the voice of the dental profession and a strong proponent of oral health in the state. Members are part of a vibrant community of dentists encompassing 12 local dental societies as well as the American Dental Association. Fabrication of a Denture without Try-In
An immediate denture is a prosthesis which is fabricated without a denture try-in procedure in the patient’s mouth and inserted at the same visit immediately after extraction of the teeth. This article
presents an atypical case where the immediate interim denture had to be fabricated while the patient waited in the chair.

At the time the co-author of this article was omitted. Peter Duda, DMD, co-wrote “Fabrication of a Denture without Try-In – Clinical Troubleshooting,” which appeared on pp. 22-23 of the issue.
