Course Description

Participants will train on Human Identification techniques to assist the state and public, in the event of a mass fatality event. Participants will enhance their training learning multiple techniques in Dental Age Assessment, which assist law enforcement in narrowing the search for Missing persons, and assist in identifying, children and adolescents without dental records for cluster victims in a mass fatality event. Participants will learn these techniques from one of the foremost experts' in the field that wrote the ADA standards in this field, for dentistry.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review of Dental Identification using Radiologic Imaging techniques for comparison of antemortem and postmortem data.
  • Review of coding and terminology, Didactic training and hands on experience performing DAA techniques for victims 18 year and younger, as well as didactic instruction on the various other age assessment techniques in Human identification.
