ADA Lobby Day was a fantastic experience. As students we had the opportunity to talk to congressmen and staff about issues affecting dental students. We were grouped with NJDA member dentists to attend meetings and speak about the issues affecting both dentists and students. Opioid abuse was at the forefront of the topics discussed as well as student loans and non covered services. As students we were able to "ask" for student loan refinance programs and loan management programs. The experience of walking on the hill was memorable, and many of the students will certainly continue to advocate for the profession in the coming years!
