Helping Members Succeed
The New Jersey Dental Association is the voice of the dental profession and a strong proponent of oral health in the state. Members are part of a vibrant community of dentists encompassing 12 local dental societies as well as the American Dental Association. Members engage in educational programs, have access to dentist-centric relationships and tools to navigate the business of dentistry and their careers, as well as benefit from dedicated advocacy that protects the interests of the profession. The organization is run by member-dentists with the support of a team of professionals at NJDA Headquarters. NJDA members never practice alone!

Get Involved: New Charitable Foundation Seeks Board Members; NJDA Calls For Nominations For Elected Positions
New Jersey Dental Foundation
The New Jersey Dental Foundation (NJDF), a nonprofit organization affiliated with the New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA), invites nominations for members interested in serving on the NJDF Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to initiatives that educate the public about oral health, increase access to dental care, and support the future of our profession.
Role and Responsibilities:
As an NJDF Trustee, you will play a crucial role in guiding and strengthening these initiatives. Board members contribute their expertise and leadership to shape our strategies, expand our impact, and foster partnerships that align with the Foundation’s mission.
Qualifications:
We seek individuals with:
- A strong commitment to public oral health and community service
- Relevant experience or interest in public health, nonprofit management, or community outreach
- Leadership, collaboration, and strategic insight
Commitment:
Trustees are expected to attend regular Board meetings and actively participate in planning, fundraising, and outreach efforts. Initial terms will begin in 2025.
NJDA Elected Positions
Nominations are open for the NJDA elected officer positions. Nominations are requested by Wednesday, January 8, 2025, 5:00 pm. However, nominations are accepted up to the date of the Nominations Council meeting. Nominations should be emailed to CEO, Reva Brennan, at rbrennan@njda.org with the subject line “NJDA Nomination - 2025”.
The Nominations Council will meet on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 8:30 am.
Please note: If your component has a member currently holding the office of secretary, treasurer, or vice-president, you must nominate them for the next position in the succession, if the component chooses to nominate them to continue through the succession process i.e., secretary for treasurer; treasurer for vice-president, vice-president for president-elect. If the member is currently the speaker of the house, you must renominate them for the position. These must be submitted in addition to any nomination for the position of secretary.
