Let's meet another outstanding member of the 2025 class of NJDA Member Recognition Award Recipients. The next member-dentist we’re spotlighting is Dr. Robert Brown from Atlantic-Cape May County Dental Society.


Dr. Robert Brown’s journey in dentistry has been deeply intertwined with a lifetime of service to organized dentistry. He became a member of the New Jersey Dental Association in 1958, following in the footsteps of his father, who served as NJDA President, fostering in him a profound understanding of the profession’s traditions and responsibilities.

In 1960, Dr. Brown assumed the role of Secretary for the Atlantic-Cape May County Dental Society, a position he held with unwavering dedication for over six decades until his resignation in September 2024. Throughout this remarkable tenure, he became the definitive authority on society protocol and procedures, not only knowing the society’s history but living it. His meticulous attention to detail and institutional knowledge made him a trusted resource for colleagues seeking guidance on governance and tradition.

Dr. Brown’s contributions to dentistry were recognized in 2009 when he received the Dr. Theodore V. Symanski Lifetime Achievement Award from NJDA, honoring his decades of service and commitment to the dental community.

Known for his quiet demeanor, Dr. Brown has earned the respect and admiration of peers through steadfast loyalty, integrity, and professional excellence. His deep understanding of organized dentistry, rooted in both family legacy and personal dedication, has left an indelible mark on the Atlantic-Cape May County Dental Society and the broader NJ dental community.
