Let's meet another outstanding member of the 2025 class of NJDA Member Recognition Award Recipients. The next member-dentist we’re spotlighting is Dr. Carina Fairfield from Tri-County Dental Society.
Dr. Carina Fairfield’s journey into dentistry is marked by dedication, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to both her patients and her professional community. Her career path reflects a balance of clinical excellence and active engagement in organized dentistry, all while running a thriving private practice.

Dr. Fairfield practices in Chester, New Jersey, where she is the proud owner of Chester Woods Family Dentistry. Despite the demands of managing her practice, she continues to make time to attend Tri-County Dental Society trustee meetings and evening events, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to the profession and her colleagues. Her leadership and insight have been particularly valuable in enhancing TCDS’s social media presence and communication platforms, helping strengthen connections among members and the broader community.

A graduate of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Fairfield earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with distinction, graduating on the Dean’s List and receiving the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontics Honors for her academic excellence and clinical proficiency. Following dental school, she further refined her skills through a General Practice Residency at Morristown Medical Center, where she gained advanced experience in comprehensive dental care and hospital-based dentistry.

Today, Dr. Fairfield continues to give back to the next generation of dental professionals as a volunteer attending at the Morristown Medical Center residency program. In addition, she remains on staff at the hospital, where she provides care for patients in the operating room as part of the special needs program—a role that highlights her compassion and dedication to ensuring access to quality dental care for all individuals.

Dr. Fairfield’s passion for dentistry shines through in every aspect of her work. She finds immense fulfillment in restoring healthy smiles and renewed confidence to her patients. Colleagues describe her as a professional who combines clinical expertise with warmth, creativity, and a genuine desire to serve. Through her leadership, mentorship, and commitment to community, Dr. Carina Fairfield exemplifies the values of excellence, service, and compassion that define the dental profession.
