Why the MME Is Different by Design – It’s Not Meant to Be Everything; It’s Meant to Be the Right Things

Oct 7, 2026
As an NJDA member, you have two big members-only information sources – the NJDA Monday Morning Email and the ADA Morning Huddle. Let's see what makes them unique.

Dentists have no shortage of information coming their way.

News alerts. Practice updates. Regulatory changes. Professional news. Research. Social media. Industry publications. And of course, newsletters.

The challenge isn't finding information. The challenge is knowing what matters, what sources to trust, and what you actually need to know right now.  As an NJDA member, your local, state, and national professional associations are regularly sharing news and info with members. Let’s break down two of the big information sources for members – the NJDA Monday Morning Email and the ADA Morning Huddle and see what makes them unique.

NJDA Monday Morning Email

The New Jersey Dental Association's Monday Morning Email is different by design.  Every Monday, the MME aims to give member-dentists a focused, trusted starting point for the week ahead.  Members shouldn't have to wonder whether an update applies to New Jersey, whether a source is reliable, or whether they've missed something important.

5 Things That Make the MME Different

1. Curated: The Most Important Information to Start Your Week

The MME isn't designed to give members everything that happened in dentistry last week. Instead, the goal is to help members quickly answer a simple question:

“What do I need to know?”

Rather than sorting through an endless stream of information, members get a focused look at what NJDA believes is most important for member-dentists that week.

2. Time-Sensitive: Information When It Matters

The MME features deadlines, announcements, regulatory developments, advocacy opportunities, important updates and timely resources - when you still have time to act.

3. Actionable: More Than Something to Read

The MME isn't simply a collection of headlines. It is designed to connect members with resources, updates, and opportunities to take action. Sometimes the next step is registering for a course or an event. Sometimes it's learning more about an issue, and sometimes it's accessing a resource.

4. Concise: Respecting Your Time

Your Monday morning is busy. The MME is designed to be a quick read, not another long publication competing for your attention. Instead of filling your inbox with emails throughout the week, your members-only news arrives in one place at a consistent time. Read the blurbs and take action when appropriate!

5. Connected: Local Content & A Second Look

The MME includes a dedicated local component block with personalized information so members know what is happening in their own region of the state. Scroll to the bottom of each MME and the Weekly Rewind section provides another opportunity to catch important information that may have been missed from the prior week.

So, What About the ADA Morning Huddle?

The ADA Morning Huddle has an important role, too—and its purpose is different.

The Morning Huddle brings together articles dentists may be interested in from across the ADA, as well as academic publications and mainstream media. It provides a broader view of what's happening across dentistry and the information landscape surrounding the profession.

Less Noise. More Relevance.

We know our members are busy and they don't have time to read everything. We know that when it comes to issues affecting their profession and their practices, they need information they can trust. So, every Monday, the MME has a simple job:

Cut through the noise and give you the information you need to start the week informed and ready to act.

It isn't meant to be everything.

It's meant to be the right things.
