NJDPAC FAQs: Your Questions Answered
Frequently Asked Questions: Getting Involved with NJDPAC
Many members ask an important question:
If I support NJDPAC financially, is that all there is?
The answer is no.
NJDPAC is not just about fundraising—it’s about building informed, engaged relationships between the dental profession and policymakers. Financial support makes the work possible, but participation, insight, and engagement make it effective.
Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive.
Is money the only way to support NJDPAC?
Financial contributions are essential—they allow NJDPAC to support pro-dentistry candidates and maintain a credible presence in Trenton.
However, contributors are not passive donors. NJDPAC is structured to provide education, access, and engagement opportunities so members can better understand how advocacy works and, if they choose, participate more directly.
What do contributors receive beyond making a contribution?
NJDPAC contribution levels are designed to offer graduated access to information, dialogue, and policymakers, depending on a member’s interest and availability. Each level includes the benefits of the levels below it.

Do I have to attend events or meetings if I contribute?
No. Participation is always optional. Some members prefer to stay informed, while others choose to engage more actively. NJDPAC is designed to support both.
Why does NJDPAC structure engagement this way?
Effective advocacy is built on:
Education
Relationships
Credibility
Consistency
NJDPAC creates opportunities for members to engage at a level that fits their interests, comfort, and availability—while ensuring dentistry has a strong, informed voice in Trenton.
