The New Jersey Dental Association is the voice of the dental profession and a strong proponent of oral health in the state. Members are part of a vibrant community of dentists encompassing 12 local dental societies as well as the American Dental Association. Members engage in educational programs, have access to dentist-centric relationships and tools to navigate the business of dentistry and their careers, as well as benefit from dedicated advocacy that protects the interests of the profession. The organization is run by member-dentists with the support of a team of professionals at NJDA Headquarters. NJDA members never practice alone!

NJDA Member Dr. Kim Fenesy Announced as Recipient of 2025 EJI Excellence in Medicine Award
EJI Excellence in Medicine has announced the 2025 recipients of its prestigious awards, recognizing outstanding healthcare leaders across New Jersey. Widely regarded as the highest honors in the state’s medical community, the EJI Excellence in Medicine Awards™ celebrate excellence, innovation, and dedication in healthcare.
All proceeds from the evening support scholarships for future healthcare leaders in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and physician assistant programs in New Jersey. Paul J. Hirsch, MD, Chairman of the EJI Excellence in Medicine Fund, said, "As Healthcare leaders, we have a duty to inspire the next generation—through example, mentorship, and a commitment to excellence. The EJI Excellence in Medicine Awards™ celebrate those who lead by example while investing in the future of healthcare in New Jersey through annual scholarships. The 2025 awards honor those who inspire progress and shape a healthier tomorrow."

The 2025 EJI Excellence in Medicine Honorees:
Outstanding Medical Educator Award
Kim E. Fenesy, DMD
Vice Dean, Rutgers School of Dental Medicine
Dr. Fenesy, a former medical illustrator, earned her dental degree from Rutgers in 1986. As a postgraduate, she specialized in periodontics before transitioning into academia. As Vice Dean at RSDM, she led student support and interprofessional education (IPE) initiatives. Her leadership in IPE shaped national standards and secured a $2.5M HRSA grant to enhance collaborative healthcare education. Recognized for her contributions, she continues to impact dental education and patient care.
